Novice Eligibility

1Competitor has not placed in the top 3 in an Open Division in any organization.

2Competitor has not placed top 3 in the Novice division in an ABA/INBA sanctioned event.

Crossovers

  • Masters can crossover to Open or Novice.
Determination of Figure Classes for each division
  • If 10 or less competitors there will be only one class.
  • If more than 10 competitors there will be 2 classes: SHORT (5'4" and under) & TALL (over 5'4").
  • If over 20 competitors there will be 3 classes: SHORT (5'2" and under), MEDIUM (5'5" and under), TALL (over 5'5").
JUDGING CRITERIAMuscular Development
  • Muscular, defined and toned figure
  • This is not a bodybuilding competition so excessive mass will take away from the overall muscular toned physique
  • Reasonable level of body fat showing separations between major muscle groups (ex. biceps to triceps) without visible striations in the muscle groups
Symmetry and Proportion
  • No body part should stand out from the rest
  • There should be an even flow through the body
  • Equal development between all muscle groups
Stage Presence
  • Confidence
  • Execution of quarter turns and figure walk
  • Skin tone, make-up, suit selection
  • Overall presentation
